October's PicturesOrdsall Hall (QTEK 9100)
It's a strange place in the middle of either "city centre" dwelling (as the marketing man would like to say falsely) or industrial units, and there in the midst’s of this is this Tudor Hall which opens mainly when people cannot go.
I thought it was a bit of a let down, but then again I think I was expecting too much. Nice though so if you have nothing else to do pop along. I did try and find some links to link into this post but I have failed. All the links I found didn't work which probably ties in with my disappointment. Anyway here's a picture of the fron... bac... fron... Urrr one side of the hall.

No Show Without Punch (QTEK 9100)
As the old saying goes, "there's no show without Punch" and at Heaton Hall there's no set of statues without the Dog too... well I assume it's a dog, and a quite set upon dog with a bit out of it's ear and lots of people have had a go at it, which isn't that nice. Still I have now taken the set. I shall now have my weak lemon drink.

Close-Up Lion (QTEK 9100)
This is another picture of the status of the Lion at the front of Heaton Hall, this time close up. Unfortunately the hall was closed so we couldn't look around it.

Heaton Lion (QTEK 9100)
Whilst at Heaton Park we did the usual, but I remembered that I had never taken a picture of the statues at the front of the hall. This is a picture of the Lion out at the front of the hall.

Pool Sign at Heaton Park (QTEK 9100)
Saw this sign in Heaton Park. Apart from the daftness that the pool isn't there anymore it's just a daft sign. I'm not saying Heaton Park is worse than anywhere, I have seen this sort of "Glass in the Pool" sign many places. My question is in which world would I think it would be safe to let an adult in a pool where there's glass even when they are wearing hard shoes?

Tram Blur (QTEK 9100)
All night I was trying to get a picture of some blurriness and it all turned out rubbish. This one isn't bad, but it's not as good as I would have hoped. It's a tram passing some of the illuminations.
I did try and get a picture of Bispham Station lit up in blue, but the delay between me pressing the button and camera taking the picture was so long that I nearly missed the whole thing, turned out that all I got was the right side of the station. Ah well there's always next year.

Evil Knievel (QTEK 9100)
Well it's probably not him, bit it's a classic, dusted off year after year and is probably still there because of the adults who remember it from when they were young, the kids of course probably find it too sedate and would prefer the flashing lights of the "Playstation 360 Megadrive" display.

Pig Palace (QTEK 9100)
Ah the Pig Palace, it's a... Palace for Pigs and here it is the... Pig Palace where they can eat and have ribs apparently, not that I thought Pigs were to keen on ribs, but this is proof that they do... so there.

Romanesque (QTEK 9100)
I like this pic, don't know what it's all in aid of but I like it. The lampposts in the foreground don't help, but it was quite poorly placed behind a load of street furniture, even so I think you can an essence of what it was like.

Blackpool Tower Mix (QTEK 9100)
It's that time again when the winter starts closing in, the nights get darker and someone in the house (despite sense, reason and the fact that it's always a bit dire) decides to go to Blackpool. I must admit it was not me, I cannot tell a lie.
So without further waffle I have a few pics of the illuminations to bore you with.
This little chap is the Green Machine, powered by solar panels (and probably helped by the national grid by the look of the panels) it's... well... there.

Cadbury Factory (QTEK 9100)
At the end of the weekend we went to Cadbury's and did the whole shebang. Here's a picture of the factory close up just to prove we went. Glad to be back after all this running about and very tired, now I'm looking forward to next weekend when I can get some rest... yeah right.

Tolworth Tower (QTEK 9100)
Here's a rather abstract picture of the Tolworth Tower where we stayed when we were at Hampton Court. They have blue lights on the top and there's a lit stairwell. This is taken with the QTEK on night so there's a long exposure and the camera is twisted, so the blue spins and the stairwell is that streak of yellow. Just thought it might be interesting to take.

Court from Afar (QTEK 9100)
Here's a picture of Hampton Court from the end of the garden with the... gardens in the foreground and the house (Over to the left is a huge grape vine), but I like the perspective with this picture and the fact the clouds have come out all right. Took a bit of twiddling with the contrast and brightness on the QTEK but I got there.

Hampton Court Symetry (QTEK 9100)
Here's another picture of Hampton Court. This is a walkway around the main atrium. Just near the King's apartment I just liked the symmetry of this one. Mind you it's a classic symmetry picture in many ways, so there's nothing much interesting in it, I just like it.

I think this is the back of Hampton Court and this picture is a little freak in that I never saw the lense flare that happened. I tried for a Hampton Court side pic but I think it looks better than I expected with the the camera stuff.

Hampton Court Palace (QTEK 9100)
The front of Hampton Court Palace. That's where we have been today. Not somewhere I have fancied going ever however a good place to go nonetheless A massive palace and all my wife's idea, not the existence of the palace, just the idea of going there. Just a quick one for now, more later.
