This is the third time I am writing this as Quick Office has crashed each time just near the end. So let's see if I can make it to crash 4.
Once you have seen one Roman remains then you have pretty much seen them all, however if I were to rank all the Roman remains in order the those at Dogga are by far the best. Despite that, if you cannot get to Dougga then these sre pretty decent. The Amphitheater is impressive as are the views over the cliff and the sight of a paraglider failing to paraglide is also a sight to behold. However I can only guarantee two of thouse should you olan to visit.
The weather is scorching, so much so they have been troubled by scub fires, you might be able to pick up the sight of scorched scrub in the background of thus picture.

Well it could be Lead but I doubt it and wouldn't it be brilliant if it were a real horse and I had stod there for ages trying to get the perfect span. Of course even for a static horse it wasn't that simple after a couple decided to stand next to the horse for 5 minutes as I waited for them to bugger off. That's how patient I was, committed to the Zamyatin cause.
It's a pic at Chatsworth which has seen fit to drop artwork all around the grounds. Must admit it's quite nice to stumble on one of these things, even if some of them are just completely weird like the sculpture of a couple of people that seem to have been made by a 3 year old missing heads and all sorts. In the summer house there is a fan from a jet engine which was impressive but I don't really think the picture I took did it justice.

I have always wondered whether Emporer Monkeys tasted of Orange, mainly due to the fact that in my mind Tamarind sounds like a mash up of Tangarine and Mandarin. Of course they don't taste of Orange as that would be silly, everyone knows that they taste of mint and even at this proximity to them it would cause deep distress to them and probably me, should I try to give one a hearty lick.
Just so you know, these are in the Durrell wildlife park for wildlife that earn far too much and want to become Jersey residents to avoid UK tax. So it appears that these chaps have a bob or two and sit their taunting me with their fresh minty flavour and piles of cash and yet expect people like me to pay to see them get three square meals a day all paid for out of my entrance money... it makes me sick.
I say send them back where they came from and whilst that could be the Durrell Wildlife Park, I mean India or somewhere not here.

Back to an old fave that we haven't seen for some time. In fact I can't remember when I was last there. I don't seem to have a picture of it, so I can't have been that impressed, either that or went on a tour and there was no time for pictures. It was a quick dash out because it was more or less the only time we could get out whilst some boiler engineers did their stuff. Of course it was a very warm day so it was ideal for testing the central heating for 2 hours stuck in the house.
Next weekend and the weekend after should be quite fun, some more events coming up, but you never know I may be just able to take one if not two nice pictures, but I wouldn't count in it at the moment
This is of course a picture of the back of the mill. They have opened the gardens up finally, so that was the draw this weekend. Not sure when they actually opened them but since we knew they were it was a good excuse to go and see what was there. It was quite interesting as it's all on a rather steep hill however the views aren't that great because there are so many trees. Also the weir was closed because they are installing a fish race so that they can avoid the weir.

Been a little busy since I took this but kept on meaning to put it up. It's not really that great but could add to by Chainsaws collection. I'm not sure how relevant the chainsaws thing is really because I think I started calling them chainsaw art because the first one I saw was made with a chainsaw, however the more I look at them the more I doubt that premise.
This little chap is in in Didsbury and in in Didsbury park to be honest, which is a little less interesting than Granada Park in Denton, or perhaps it's more interesting, it's really a close race there. Anyway, I was so tired tonight I was going to forget it but since I didn't want to disappoint I decided to put it up.
The tiredness came from the Great Cycle Manchester. My training for this even consisted of two months of flying twice a week, drinking a lot, eating restaurant food every night and not cycling. I may have slipped with my training, two weeks cheated and I didn't fly or eat restaurant food, but I held strong on the no cycle rule. You would have been impressed with my resolve. I was less than impressed with the results. I completed 26 miles in 1 hour and 27 minutes which was rubbish, after all that junk and lack of training I was only 8 minutes over my last time where I was cycling 10 miles a day for. So tell me now... why should I bother?
