It's been a long ay at Oulton Park, It starts early and b the time you end up getting home you're shattered. All well worth it though, and the first time we have been in one of the stands. The Stand we were in was a Lodge corner It's not a bad corner, quite fast and into the start/finish straight, but by that time, all of the pack seems to have settled down, still I think it was a relatively bog standard set of racing today, reasonably unchanged from lights to flag, mind you when I watch the replay that I have recorded, this may show a different picture. However one thing I haven't seen before is the Safety car breaking down. I'm not 100% sure if it was supposed to go in on that lap, but the pack decided that whilst it's lights weren't out, the fact that it was leaving the track was the signal that it was time to race. At that point the safety car halted. Needless to say that the picture is of one of the many times that the safety car came out.

Now this just sounds like we're stalking Concordes now, but that's not the case, but the two in the title is interesting because this is Concorde 02 built in Filton and built as a test aircraft and not as a commercial aircraft. Taking off from Filton on the 9th of April 1969 and now resting in the Air Arm Museum in Yeovitton. Owing to the fact that the aircraft was a test aircraft then you seem to have more of a free run in and around the aircraft unlike the plush aircraft in Manchester/ However the interior of this one is slightly basic. I suspect the seats that are there are just for show as the aircraft would probably have been chock full of equipment and basic seats for people to work the equipment.
Of course, there are more things to see than the Concorde. It's a Navy Aircraft Museum as the name might have suggested and some really interesting exhibits such as one hall which is a mock up of an aircraft carrier, more specifically the Ark Royal. You see take offs and landings and get a tour round the Island and all of that after you take a 2 minute “flight” in a Sea King to the aircraft carrier.
Of course if you want to see the rest, then get down there, it's worth a visit.

Well of course this isn't actually the Place du Concorde in Paris, but it is the place of Concorde, such a witty little aside for my broken French. On a no so routine trip out in as much as we were heading for the shops and my Wife decided that we must go and see Concorde, not sure what it was or why the sudden need but that's where we headed after getting som salad and other bit for tea.
When we turned up we saw a aircraft landing persued by two fire units and some sort of official looking police like car. I can only assume everything was fine and it was all precaution as there was nothing in the news and nothing much seemed to happen. Anyway, onto Concorde, it was only the quick tour so that's 10 minutes in Concorde and 10 minutes around the outside. As for the inside, it's really a rather normal looking aircraft, though we were warned before we boarded that the aisle was narror and in fact everything was rather narrow so we would be unable to walk to abreast in the aisle... I'm not sure what cargo planes the guide has been on but I don't think I have every beon on a plane where it's been easy to walk down one abreast with a cabin bag let alone two. Still there is plenty of leg room and nice leather seats, you could almost be on a Lufthansa flight. The outside is quite impressive as you could imagine, though again, I was imagining something a lot larger, still, it's worth the tenner to walk around it.

If you can't guess we went to Capethorn Hall last weekend. And yes it's a boring picture and to be honest Capesthorne Hall is OK. To be honest the weather wasn't really great last weekend for pictures, the sky was bright and cloudy which is a bad combination if you want to take decent pictures outside.
This happens to be a monument to the families who lived here before the new hall was created. However what it doesn't make clear is whether this is where the old hall was and what the monument is supposed to represent, it could be a gate post or of course it could be made from bricks from the old hall, or it could ust be something someone cobbled together for a bit of a laugh.

I had Cathedral fatigue at this point so I can't tell you what the heck these two are or were. I just got bored. Here we are at Winchester Cathedral and we have missed the reason why we took the trek down there for. Apparently the Crypt looks great, if you can get down there, apart from the fact that we cant. So we are left to mess about with the rest of it and after a while I got bored and here we are. So when I get bored I start messing with my camera. So this is it. You can tell that we are somewhere Godly because there are the pipes to the organ in the background (I got those in on purpose), but the rest could be anywhere.
