Smoking Towers (QTEK 9100)
More extreme weather from Zamyatin. Heavy snow one week and the day Manchester was shrouded in thick fog or mist (I don't know the difference no doubt there is a difference). I think this may have started as mist then ended up as fog, and quite bad fog. Here you can see mist around the Co-op building (I thinks it's the Co-op building) with the sun reflecting through it. Again as usual it looked better in real life.

Little Gem (QTEK 9100)
Tucked away down a back street I know little about this other than I know it’s there and you get from St Anne’s Square to this via a couple of interesting alleys one of which I could have swore was roofed with umbrellas at one point.
Also known as the Hidden Gem I have yet to go inside. Even today (Sunday) I was thwarted in my effort as it is closed in the afternoon. I shall get there at some point I shall. Due to the narrow road that it’s situated on, getting a good picture is impossible, though I did curse myself for not brining my Lomo Fisheye, so this si the best I could get.

Skate Manchester (QTEK 9100)
This is a pic of the On Ice at Piccadilly thing that will be going on all over Xmas in Manchester Piccadilly (Gardens). Personally it looks too busy to me so I shan't be participating but I like the idea even with the orange skates.

Lincoln Square (QTEK 9100)
The Manchester Markets have taken hold in Albert Square, St. Anne's Square and Lincoln Square which this is a picture of. Pride of place in Lincoln Square is a statue of Abraham Lincoln pictured here. I can't remember the reason for the statue mind you.
What you have here is a picture of the statue, a place to get Bratwurst and other lovely German sausages and to the left somewhere to get refreshment. Despite working on Peter Street the first time I got out to see the markets were yesterday for lunch with my wife (unfortunately I had to rush back for phone interviews) and today, a quick outing to get Christmas presents. It's not like there wasn't much to get I would have loved half the stuff there as a present I just suspect the people I have left to buy for would not be so appreciative. Ah well there's always Amazon.

Woman on Ceiling (QTEK 9100)
Still in Manchester this is on the ceiling of the gallery in Manchester on Mosley Street. I don't think I was supposed to take pictures within the Gallery so I shall await a knock on the door from the Art Police. I can't remember the name of the room but it's a really tranquil room and perhaps that's the lighting and the seats around the outside that have speakers that play sort of ambient sound such as people talking and singing.

A1 GP Manchester (Nisis DV5)
Just a quick montage of pictures from a video I took, hence the resolution is a little poor. It's the DV 5 again if you hadn't guessed; I took the Rollei but never used it.
The middle two are when the Irish (I'm assuming he is Irish. I know nothing about A1 GP) guy stopped right in front of us and lit up the tyres, it's strange and it probably sounds sad but that got us all giggling like school girls, it was pretty impressive.
The last one is the last lap. Whilst there was no racing, it was a pretty good show, and if it happens again, you can be sure I shall be there.

Long time no see! (Nisis DV5)
More archive pics I am afraid. Yes I am back, but with work and stuff there’s little time to get things moving. Tomorrow I shall probably be working again, despite my wish to find and picture all all pencils in Manchester since my wife found one on Wilbraham Road.
Despite my long stay away I have been keeping up with all the web going’s on and have been criticized that despite the fact that I have said this is not a blog that I have now (paridoxically) produced a blog! I say there are two sorts of people in the world, the hypocrites and liars. OK criticized is an emotive word I should have said it has been noted.
As far as the world of the web is concerned it is just as much of a commodity as it was before Crash V1.0.
As far as this picture is concerned it is a picture of the wheel in Manchester in December before it was cleared to give way to the screening the World Cup, which was then stopped after the first screened match due to trouble and now Manchester City council (who I believe were to be given money to keep the wheel but declined) are now going to reinstate the much loved wheel. I like this picture, one of those random, “will it come out… I don’t think so… oh look it looks rather nice… which way up is it” pictures.

Burning Window (QTEK 9100)
This is one of the stained glass windows in Manchester Cathedral, I don't know what it is all about, as I found no description, but I'm guessing it's either supposed to represent fire or blood or both as I think it was this section that was bombed in the war in addition to which it is the chapel for the Manchester Regiment.

Cathedral and Around (Rollei 35b)
I like the mix in the picture. I have a few other pictures in the Rollei for this probably with better exposure... I hope, not that this is too bad with the sun behind me. I just like the different ages of structure. We have the Cathedral to the left, The wattle and daub building squeezed in at the bottom the concrete Arndale towering over the scene and the new wheel vying for space.

Building Stalking (Nisis DV5)
This is the last time I take a picture of this building I promise; otherwise it'll look like I'm stalking the building. I had to go into work on Saturday and so I took my camera and since the building looked taller than usual I snapped another couple of pics. Here's one. I'll stop now I know you're bored.
